2nd Music Career in Capitola, CA

April 10th

• Late for the first time ever on rent, had to use some credit, had bank problems and other uncontrollable issues, found charitable donation for the exact amount needed, paid the rent!!
• Gracious landlord
• Completely broke and yet joyful!

April

• Good sessions at Mr. Toots, meeting people and enjoying the feedback, enjoying making people happy doing what I do best • First advertising outreach ever, never had the opportunity even with the retail business, about 400 envelopes to specific places

March

• Sudden miraculous healing within a few weeks of all 3 disabilities and stroke!
• Head feels normal, no left side pain, not hurting around LEDs even though they are still awful
• Spine doesn't have detectable pain even though 2 bones were touching
• Abdomen barely feels like anything went wrong, just a little indication where obstructions happened, getting skinnier and core muscles are working better and better!
• All of these were hell for 25+ years and I almost feel normal!!!!
• Lots of bike rides and about 3 surf sessions per week
• I'm still taking care of myself the same way

February 22nd

• More extra special private things happening from God
• Built new concert pianist website very quickly and it came out great, member circles and 5 phase plan all laid out

February 6th

• God showed me something totally awesome so special that I'm keeping it close in my heart for now!
• Massive peace about starting dream career, despite money all gone

January

• Received letters from different providers confirming disabilities
• Started new year with a ruptured ear drum while beginning to play piano at Mr. Toots
• Prayer times with God getting better and better, I asked God to show me His will

All Year

• Health is increasing rapidly since I took gluten out even though my spine still touches together between L4 and L5
• Working for clients, made highest income in entire life during this year
• Homeopathics are really helping by brain after the stroke
• Discernment is getting better and I'm finding healthier relationships
• Continuing with counseling and thankful for people to pray with

December

• Almost had another stroke after being behind a firetruck when its lights turned on
• Invited 15 people over for Christmas feast and no one came and almost everyone did not RSVP
• Found someone outside who didn't have a feast to go to and invited them in for Christmas dinner and had a nice time
• Threw up Christmas night and then ear drum ruptured, 2 months out of work to recover, no surfing

November

• It's time to become a solo concert pianist!

October

• Stroke or seizure at home alone
• Barely got to bedroom to find the phone, called 4 people, they called paramedics
• Near death experience - paramedics came and stayed for almost an hour
• Caused by residual stress, prolonged construction noise outside the window for 3 month plus LED lights everywhere
• Left side of head frozen and left arm
• Tongue frozen and couldn't talk for 3 days
• Weird heart pain and constriction, couldn't sleep after event
• 3 weeks or so off work
• Found great homeopathics

March

• Surfing is easier and more fun in the 5th year, yeah!
• Abdominal muscles suddenly fired while I was in the water!
• I turned on a wave quicker than ever! Yay for no gluten!

All Year

• Recuperating from loss of retail store
• Figuring out triple disabilities with doctors and therapists
• Some business coming in here and there

December

• Abdominal Obstruction #19 after eating green beans at Christmas • Worst obstruction ever • After recuperating, discovered that gluten was a problem so I took a long break for months and didn't eat pasta or rice

November

• Still trying to work things out with boyfriend but haven't seen much of him, he refused counseling every time
• Just getting strung along, so done with being treated this way
• Very painful but time to let go of him
• Very thankful for wise counsel over the years

• Lily the cat came into my life - I bottle fed her and weaned her, she's a gem!

October

• Retail store flooded
• Rainwaters came when the roof was off, same rains that flooded the Esplanade
• Needed to suddenly warehouse the store to save it because property managers were MIA for days during the emergency
• Was blessed with a perfect fit down the street where I knew someone
• Displays and products were moved by a great crew and they organized it just like my shop
• Body hurt a lot, so I had to rest for many days
• Needed time to recuperate and regroup, lost customer base in the meantime

• Found a granny unit rental through same friend who helped me out during the CZU fire
• This creekside property has gorgeous panoramic views and I felt safer immediately and imagined that I could heal - thank the Lord!

LIFE #4

Recovery in California

June

• Felton, CA to Capitola, CA
• Hid away in a hotel
• Had to chose it based on a non-painful bed, even though it was way too expensive
• Severe PTSD for 3 months, wanted my life to end, but not really, couldn't call boyfriend because he was angry and scary and could set it off further
• I felt kidnapped by something dark that was oppressing my mind, I was completely alone too
• Looked for housing, thankful for inheritance but had to do advances on it before it was ready

February

• Santa Cruz, CA to Felton, CA
• Moved into little home in my old neighborhood
• My 20 year old cat died the morning I was to move in here
• Moved in a few more belongings for the kitchen, bedroom and bathroom
• Was yelled at for needing medical accomodation
• Promise broken for being able to use 50% of the space
• My living room furniture was placed on the deck outside and I had to cover it whenever it rained
• Lots of pain since medical needs weren't met
• Cramped and had to look at gross weed paraphernalia
• Boyfriend had playboy magazine and strange spiritual dark objects
• Got yelled at and told I was faking my pain, the stress caused problems on top of my brain injury
• Not allowed to create house rules or keep the house clean
• Boyfriend left several items outside to get ruined
• We also had good times and tried to make it work, we weren't well suited
• Boyfriend outright refused counsel and accountability
• Received advance on my inheritance but lost about half of it, but was glad because I could move out to a safer place

June

• Santa Cruz, CA to Santa Cruz, CA
• Moved into boyfriend's cramped 200sf studio
• My 20 year old cat came along, had health issues
• I came with my toothbrush and some clothes
• I lost some sanity being so cramped and the bed and couch hurt my back too much, going to work was difficult much of the time
• Could barely walk anywhere in the studio apartment
• Neighborhood was very dangerous and gross
• Ran my retail store and music every day
• Boyfriend wanted a future, so he said, but didn't prove
• Boyfriend got COV-ID, I took 10 days off work to quarantine and care for him
• I got COV-ID, boyfriend abandoned me and went back to work

May

• Lompico, CA to Santa Cruz, CA
• Boyfriend found me a converted garage rental down the street from his field office in Live Oak
• My 20 year old cat came along, had health issues
• I came with very little, the rest stayed in storage
• Needed to paint it and make a kitchen in it
• Woman of the house turned out to be a drunk and couldn't handle the change from her old tenant to me
• A witch often came to the house
• I couldn't handle the way I was stressed on, didn't have privacy
• Cramped and disrespected, I had to get out
• Money drained, broke, had to move in with boyfriend • Church of many thousands that I served at in music for 5 years was unhelpful and told me to move into a shelter, other church people said it was okay for me to move in with my boyfriend, we both didn't want to so soon, but tried any way so I wouldn't be homeless

April

• Felton, CA to Lompico, CA
• Moved in to vacation rental for 1 month because I wasn't able to find housing in time after getting notice at my Felton home
• My 20 year old cat came along, had health issues
• Boyfriend was slightly helpful but mostly grumpy and abandoned me on my last night moving out of Felton and I could barely manage it in my condition
• Lompico neighborhoods have gorgeous redwood forests and tons of yard trash everywhere

March 29th

• Capitola, CA
• Rented commercial space near the village for music studio
• Moved concert grand piano down the street from the yoga studio
• Retail store was across the parking lot, went back and forth to set up both spaces • Taught lessons there • Schedule was limited and only in the evenings because of the noisy taqueria and I needed to work around the chiropractors and massage therapists schedules
• Loved the building and the acoustics, price was reasonable
• Money drain because of life circumstances

March 1st

• Capitola, CA
• Rented commercial space near the village for House of Greco
• Moved displays in from Felton house
• Retail store was in a solid cedar building, reasonable rent
• The store came out beautifully!
• Successful grand opening with live music and many sales
• Loved the building and the acoustics, price was reasonable
• Loved my shoppe and the customers came in and loved it too
• Lots of daily pain, had a wingback chair in the shoppe that helped
• Money drain because of life circumstances

February

• Capitola, CA
• Rented commercial space in the yoga studio's extra room with separate entrance for the music studio for 2 months
• Moved concert grand piano from Felton in
• Beautiful 300sf room, perfect size but shared
• Taught lessons
• Started to notice weird things, like people doing mushrooms in our share space and bringing dogs around in my grand piano
• Noticed that their "interpretive" dance night included laying on top of each other, sweaty man came in and sat down at my piano, I told him to go wash up, ew!
• Owner of business told me she didn't want me there after I moved the piano in
• Owner said that my classical music changes the vibe too much
• I tried to get my money back and they turned nasty

• Met a man two days later and began dating, became boyfriend and girlfriend

• My best friend Lokey died suddenly - my beautiful big boy, a black cat with green eyes, 9 years old

August

• CZU Fire - Evacuated for 3 weeks with my cats and many things but not my grand piano. A friend graciously went to her Tahoe home and gave me her Capitola home. When the fire was over, the house was safely just under 1 mile from the edge of the perimeter of the burned area. When I came home, I smelled gas, called PG&E and they said get out now, so I went back to my friend's house. There was a carbon monoxide leak, so the heater got replaced. Later I saw burns in my redwood trees, a clear indication that the neighborhood was probably minutes away from burning. God spoke to me audibly for the first time during this evacuation.

March

• The pandemic began to shut down everything. Mass paranoia spread. I got to know new neighbors because we were all going for walks outside a lot and in Henry Cowell state park. We enjoyed the San Lorenzo valley 6pm howl every day - even the coyotes chimed in. I ignored the mass paranoia as much as possible. I wasn't scared after the illness I had the previous year plus all the other health problems. Lived off alimony and continued to work on my own health and recovery from my East Coast life.

August

• Very bad illness - daily fever at 4pm to 4am, no one to help, ill for 3 months, lost 20 lbs and my muscles shook for months after, then I recovered. I got sick the day after I hugged a neighbor who had returned from England the day before. It could have been COVID-19.

March

• Took some lessons from a recording engineer who helped me set up microphones and fabrics
• Learned basic mastering
• Used new preamp
• Recording quality was 5x better than I've ever created!

September

• Medical trip to Oregon alone
• 6 days, two 2-hour myofascial release sessions each day
• Ate with pain for the first time since the intestinal surgery of 2000!
• Walked between sessions, it was hard but it happened
• Flew home and had a bit of a rough recovery, but after 2 weeks, had a sudden rise in health
• These specialists improved my life so much I could work 40 to 60 hours per week!
• Previously I could only work about 10 hours per week and had to rest from pain the rest of the time
• They gave me my life back without surgery
• Found a Santa Cruz therapist to continue the work at a slower pace

June

• My beautiful orange cat Dickens had to be put down. He had a drink out of his favorite hose just before his slumber. The vets were very kind. My sweetie.

• Fleshed out retail vision and developed displays in house with hired help

September

• Moved out of village commercial space after dealing with setbacks with getting the business going, property managers unhelpful and difficult politics in the village, my dedicated parking space was constantly being parked in and no one cared

June

• Felton, CA to Felton, CA
• Moved into 800sf home down the street with whatever I had in my car
• Went to L.A. to get my belongings
• Lived simply and felt some peace but a lot of pain from being abandoned
• Yard was gorgeous - flat grassy area with tall redwood trees
• Massive pain still everyday
• Former fiancé visited again just a few times but it was really over
• Cats were even happier because they could go outside and stretch their legs, plenty of room and set back from the street
• Moved Steinway in

• Stayed in vacation rental with whatever I had in my car
• Rest of belongings were still in L.A.
• Tiring yet peaceful, enjoyed the fireplace and the great weather
• Massive spiders in the house, woah!
• Massive pain still everyday
• Former fiancé visited a couple of times
• Cats were happier at this house
• Began visualizing product lines and a small amount of inventory purchasing

• Los Angeles, CA to Santa Cruz, CA
• Moved into the Ocean Lodge in Santa Cruz, CA to look for housing
• Had my 3 cats with me
• Daily intense pain
• Hotel was very expensive and the people staying there were scary
• Boyfriend came and went without much notice, then baled on us completely and suddenly

April

• Santa Clara, CA to Los Angeles, CA
• Abdominal obstruction for days in the middle of moving out
• Fiancé and I moved in
• Had my 3 cats with me
• Bike stolen, tried to paint unit, fiancé baled for a month
• Worked for oldest men's chorus and Chris Saranec, conductor and NBC composer
• My cat almost got eaten by one of the many coyotes on our street
• Fiancé came back, "looked" for work, but mostly couldn't get out of the house that wasn't settled into
• Fiancé had meltdowns about grocery shopping and finding work, I did all the shopping and housework
• I paid all expenses
• Daily intense pain
• We decided to put everything in storage in L.A. after 6 months and go to his family cabin for a short time in Felton, CA because the neighborhood was so dangerous
• I fell in love with Felton and the redwoods, we didn't want to go back

• Met with divorce mediator and began paperwork
• Felt peace, loneliness and vulnerability
• Had my Steinway grand piano there and looked for students and tried to make connections and give concerts

• Less expensive, alimony paid living expenses
• Met and dated a man, he stayed there most of the time, became boyfriend, then fiancé
• Took up longsword, helped my health, taught me inner strength, made acquaintances and enjoyed Combat Con!
